Chocolate Mousse
Looked like cat splat,
Brown and mushy on the sill
Then we saw its pot,
Thrown at my cat by a shit
Luckily, it never hit.
Love & Books
Raise a mighty tome
As my ever lasting tomb,
Through sheaths i roam,
Searching for feelings unknown,
And hearts, unbroken by me.
Snow Bound
British clocks halted
By the falling snow flakes
Cars caught in vast drifts,
My footprints sinking deeper
Leading to empty shops.
After The Storm
Xmas ashes float
down and settle on wet grass
Turning it white.
For a brief moment there’s peace
In my world and my pain clears.
Calm
Bitter cold winds,
Blasting my face and fingers,
Making little of
My warmest winter clothes
Leaving me bare, determined.
One Day
Exploring new tracks,
My hands are running blind,
With my lips kissing.
I am finding my own way
To your satisfaction.
Frost
From my window,
The world was frozen in ice,
Captured as it was
When the cold came to claim it,
Was my life also taken?
Government of Spite
No matter how fate
batters me, denies me,
what she gives others,
I shall not fall to my knees,
and bow my head in defeat.
Wednesday Morning
Fog shrouds my garden,
Hiding its end from view,
The grass wet with dew
As a tabby cat stalks
The path and disappears.
A Soulless New World
Silence echoes
In wasted cityscapes across
Our modern world,
We no longer create,
Where has all the beauty gone?
